Administrative Assistant

Position Summary...

The Administrative Assistant will handle a variety of administrative and financial tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the department. At times assisting accounting clerks with invoicing and receiving, which will entail accurately scanning large documents into various digital files effectively and efficiently. This position by necessity highly handles time-sensitive and confidential information which will require the high accuracy of detail work and time management to ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and company policies.

This is a full-time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Essential Functions...

* Scanning documents and uploading data to FTP site.

* Collect data packets from the lab.

* Organizing documents and data packets for the invoicing team.

* Assist with invoicing, accounts receivable collections, purchasing, and accounts payable.

* Other administrative tasks such as maintaining supplies and lab coats.

* General office duties.

Position Requirements...

* Minimum of high school diploma with 2 years working experience

* Experience in accounting including accounts receivable, collections, account analysis and reconciliations is a plus

* Experienced with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel.

* Experience with data entry

Work Environment...

* This job operates in a professional office environment.

* This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

* This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
