John H Carter is Hiring a HR Generalist Near Geismar, LA

Essential Duties

HR Responsibilities:

  • Address employee relations issues, including conflicts, complaints, and disciplinary actions, in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Provide coaching and support to managers and employees on performance -related matters.
  • Administer FMLA leave including understanding FMLA regulations, processing leave request, communicating with employees about their rights and responsibilities under FMLA, coordinating leave with other types of employee benefits, and ensuring FMLA paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and documentation by ensuring precise data entry
  • Stay informed about relevant employment laws and regulations and ensure compliance with federal, state and local requirements.

Training Responsibilities:

  • Administer the company’s Learning Management System: Oversee user management (account creation, support, activity tracking), content management (course creation, updating, organization), system maintenance (technical issues, updates, integration, security), training administration (program planning, enrollment, feedback), and general support (user training, documentation, continuous improvement).
  • Assist in the coordination of onsite training sessions, workshops or other learning initiatives.

Other General Responsibilities:

  • Assist with development of job descriptions and job postings
  • Maintain job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations
  • Assist employees with benefit, payroll & timekeeping issues as needed
  • Assist with maintaining accurate information in HRIS system
