Working/Functional Title Assistant Parking Office Manager
Position Summary The mission of the Michigan State University Department of Police and Public Safety is to enhance the quality of life on campus by building relationships, strengthening stewardship, and working collaboratively within our diverse community to reduce crime, enforce laws, preserve peace, and provide for a safe environment. The MSUDPPS is seeking a new Assistant Parking Office Manager.
- Assign/remove service indicators for those with outstanding violations
- Ordering Envelopes/supplies
- Request other supplies with Finance department employees
- Set up codes/monitor changes and compile billing spreadsheet
- Assist the parking office manager during vacations or time off
- Answer phones as needed
- Process online permits and cashier work
- Assist with answering support tickets
- Scheduling of Parking Office Service Assistants
- Training new staff (counter/phones)
- Processing online permit orders
- Processing bike index permit orders
- Managing student employees' duties and schedules and payroll
- Coverage for other parking coordinator duties
- Inventory of permits sold online
- Process returned mail
- Reviewing overdue letters for accuracy and preparing for US Mail
- Process returned permits
- Address payroll deduction errors
- Processing RCPD requests
- Answer support tickets that come in
- Provide backup to counter when needed
- Any other duties as assigned
Not a remote position. Working title Assistant Parking Office Manager
Working hours 730-430 or 8-5 - Monday through Friday.
Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills Knowledge equivalent to that which would be acquired in the first two or three years in college, technical, vocational or business school with coursework in a field related to the area of employment; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in performing tasks related to the area of employment, and may require one to three years supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
