Position PurposeThe Human Resources Coordinator plays a crucial role in our HR department by ensuring that our employees are well-informed about HR policies and programs. This position involves maintaining the human resource information system, updating employee records, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. Additionally, you will assist with benefits management and address other HR-related concerns.
Essential Functions And ResponsibilitiesDaily Tasks: Manage recruitment, interviewing, and hiring for frontline staff, ensuring legal compliance. Conduct employee orientations on HR policies and programs. Maintain and update employee files per policies and regulations. Address employee inquiries and resolve issues promptly. Support training and benefits programs for department personnel. Monitor and respond to HR-related emails efficiently.
Weekly Tasks: Review and update frontline job descriptions for accuracy. Update employment and benefits forms regularly. Keep management informed of departmental activities through accurate and timely reports. Participate in meetings and provide updates as needed.
Monthly Tasks: Evaluate and enhance recruitment strategies for frontline staff, plan for future needs, and update job descriptions. Complete assigned special projects and maintain a well-organized work area.
Performance Measurements: Ensure the efficient operation of the Human Resource Information System. Complete accurate and timely reporting per Cyprus policies and regulations. Provide professional reception for visitors and calls to maintain public relations. Foster effective working relationships, support new employee training, and keep management informed. Maintain our professional reputation.
EducationKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in Human Resources or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency in human resource procedures, policies, federal/state laws and regulations, corporate policy, and employee benefit programs preferred.
- Understanding of related computer applications.
- One to three years of related experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and public relations skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Highly organized and attentive to detail.
- Proficiency with 10-key, copier, fax, PC, telephone, and other basic office equipment.
