Job Profile Summary
We are looking for an Asset Management Specialist to oversee the everyday and long-term tactical management of technology-related assets inside the organization. This position will be full-time contract and onsite.
What You’ll Do
· Duties include confirmation of delivery, financial receipt closed loop, assignment, and lifecycle planning
· Monitor the life cycle of IT assets via the District’s IT service management system and One2One Manager System
· Perform routine gap analysis to understand the condition and performance of IT assets.
· Provide increased insight regarding lost/stolen or asset abuse for action
· Improve tracking of important IT Asset data elements for legal or regulatory compliance
· Enhance quality control and quality assurance (QA) of IT Asset information via the client’s IT assessment management software platform
· Reduce costs through regular repair and maintenance checks and strategies to extend the life of a device
· Minimize equipment downtime because the system prompts automatic refresh or maintenance cycles (proactive)
· Support learning goals labor costs because employees always have the resources they need when they need them
· Limit downtime (time device is not in use)
· ITIL - Involved in Project Planning, maintenance and tracking of IT Assets
· Data Integrity - Perform routine audits to verify data integrity
· Ensure Compliance - Monitor and ensure compliance to all required process guidelines
What You'll Need
Required:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or other closely related field, or a combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree
· Three (3) years minimum (5 years preferred) of professional analyst experience
· Demonstrated strong written, presentation and oral communication skills
· Exceptional abilities (3 years preferred) in Microsoft Suite of applications – Visio, Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint, etc.
· Two (2) years working experience with IT asset management lifecycle (Receive, Deliver, Assign and Maintain) – (preferred) or an equivalent combination of education and experience
· Three plus (3 ) years of IT asset and inventory life cycle management
· Three plus (3 ) years designing and implementing 1:1 models and automatic refresh policies
Preferred:
· Two (2) years IT asset management procurement and warehouse management
· Strong research and analytical skills with a commitment to rigor and attention to detail; must be able to consolidate data into actionable insight
· Must be able to multi-task under a highly demanding, deadline-driven, and continuously changing environment
· Works independently and is self-reliant; is resourceful and able to meet tight deadlines
· Adaptable to lead efforts that may not be clearly defined and that evolve over time
· Knowledge of IT Asset Management lifecycle stages
· Able to interpret and provide accurate and timely information about IT assets to stakeholders in a format that is easily understood and relevant
· Working knowledge and understanding of IT asset and inventory management processes and methodologies
· Working knowledge of asset management servicing
Physical Demands
· Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
· Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
· Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
· Expected moving, walking and standing consistent with an office environment and occasionally lifting up to 15 pounds
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms
· The employee is frequently required to talk and/or hear
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to a normal office environment
· Local travel may be required for training/meetings
