This is a fixed term position ending December 31, 2025.
Definition:
This position performs a wide variety of journey level programming and other technical tasks to implement and support LPC and PWNR’s database management systems which include CMMS systems (computerized maintenance management systems), ArcGIS/ArcFM systems, AVL (automated vehicle locating), AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure), (AMI), Meter Data Management System (MDMS), mobile data programs and future automation systems. The position is responsible for installation, configuration, system integration, various testing responsibilities, monitoring, troubleshooting, custom reporting, data analysis, and audit assistance. The analyst also manages the application security process including user setup, role and privilege definition, security permissions and overseeing the installation and/or upgrade of software releases.
This position would assist with system integration between Longmont Power and Communications Operation Technology systems and sub-systems. This position will also assist the existing technical staff with the implementation of a new Customer Information System (CIS)

Work is performed in a standard office environment. Work requires
problem solving skills, frequent reading, reasoning, customer contact, multiple concurrent tasks, and constant interruptions. Requires the ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing. Work must be done while working closely with others including both co-workers and users. Frequent light lifting and carrying (up to 30 pounds.), pulling, pushing, reaching, walking, standing, and bending/stooping. Occasional sitting, climbing, twisting, kneeling, squatting, and driving. Periodic travel to other City departments.
Qualifications:
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to the completion of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in computer science or a closely related field and one or more years of experience with SQL databases and programming. Preference will be given for prior experience with ArcGIS/ArcFM and Outage management systems. Special Qualifications: Possession of a valid Colorado Driver's License.
