Our Sales Development Specialist is primarily a training role to develop into a District Sales or other Sales role. - Must be willing to relocate once training is completed to an acceptable level and a sales role is available.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and driving record satisfactory to SEW-EURODRIVE or otherwise be able to transport yourself to and from various locations, including customer facilities, to engage in diverse business activities.
- Must be eligible and authorized to work in the United States on an ongoing indefinite basis.
- Must have excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Must have strong mathematical and computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Must be able to travel and frequently visit customers.
- Must be able to sit, stand, and lift frequently and for extended periods.
- Prefer you have Technical Sales experience.
- $45,000-$65,000 Annual Salary
- Complete training program in Production, Customer Service, and Service Departments.
- Assist District Sales and Customer Service personnel with creating quotes.
- Assist Service with plant surveys.
- Develop, facilitate, and perform customer training & “lunch and learn” events.
- Assist District Sales with project management, prospecting, and CRM contact management.
- Visit customers with District Sales and other SEW-EURODRIVE personnel.
- Facilitate and perform joint customer visits with the Distributor sales force.
- Develop and manage sales strategies and programs designed to increase sales.
- Develop an understanding of the major markets and industries.
- Pre-Qualify and accompany SEW-EURODRIVE technical staff and other sales staff to accounts to discuss, in-depth, the SEW-EURODRIVE products (mechanical and electrical) which will best suit the application needs of that customer.
- Be able to achieve an understanding of a customer’s application(s) and business so that sales growth is enabled and achieved.
- Develop the ability to size and sell SEW-EURODRIVE products cost-consciously.
- Assist District Sales in providing technical, training, promotional, and sales support to direct and indirect customers, including OEMs, Users, Distributors, and Resellers.
- Assist District Sales with the support of authorized distributors within the guidelines of the Distributor Policy to increase sales and serviceability of SEW-EURODRIVE products.
- Coordinate and organize local trade shows and seminars with product demonstrations and promotional hardware.
- Provide reports, market trends, and/or industry needs as required by the Company to maintain and increase business.
- Frequently perform sales calls for face-to-face customer interaction.
- Provide technical, training, promotional, and sales support to direct and indirect customers, including OEMs, Users, Distributors, and Resellers.
- Travel to any required destination for training, tradeshows, sales meetings, etc.
- Attend regular training on SEW-EURODRIVE products.
- Self-train on SEW-EURODRIVE products continuously. Generate revenue and increase sales of all SEW-EURODRIVE products.
- Be attentive to customer needs and occasionally conduct business outside normal business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Use CRM to manage customer interaction.
A 10% shift premium is paid for 2nd and 3rd shift positions.

- Holiday Pay - Twelve (12) paid holidays per year
- Retirement Benefits - Includes 401(k) with Profit Sharing Contribution and 200% Company Match on the first 3% that you defer to your 401K account
