Solomon Page is Hiring a SVP Human Resources Near Torrance, CA

We are assisting a publicly traded consumer products company based in Los Angeles with their search for an SVP of Human Resources. This role leads the global strategic direction of all elements of the human resources function, including organizational design, talent acquisition, employee and executive development and engagement, diversity and inclusion, human resources data/technology and compensation and benefits programs for a publicly listed, multi-billion dollar global company.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop the strategic Human Resources plan that supports the business mission, strategy and objectives
  • Serve as a strategic business and people advisor, thought-leader and coach to the Executive Committee members to provide input to drive company decisions
  • Drive the continuous improvement of the company’s human resources organization, including its organizational design as well as talent and succession planning assessments
  • Work with the Executive Committee to ensure that executive succession planning is aligned with the strategy of the company
  • Ensure global people policies are compliant and competitive, and reflect the company’s values; oversee employee relations strategies and participate on the Compliance Committee as an executive Human Resources leader
  • Oversee the development and implementation of strategic recruitment plans, compensation and benefits plans that are competitive and cost effective, and learning and development programs that support the continual learning and retention of employees
  • Partner with Corporate Communications to ensure that employee communication strategy and plans support our culture, and represents the needs of our employees and our programs

Required Qualifications:

  • 20 years of progressive human resources or equivalent business experience in large multi-national organizations, with at least ten years of international human resources responsibility
  • Experience with development of leadership development programs
  • Experience with global and regional talent acquisition tools.
  • Experience with developing DE&I strategy
  • Strong knowledge in HR systems solutions
  • Bachelor of Arts or Science in Human Resources, Business or related degree
  • Masters of Organizational Design or Psychology, MBA or human resources certifications a plus
