Job Responsibilities :
Installation of Security Systems (Cameras, Maglocks, and Card Readers).
Installation and troubleshooting of various Access Control components such as panels, readers, strikes, mag locks, etc.
Installation and troubleshooting of IP and analog cameras and NVRs.
Basic understanding of CCTV client software installation (PC and mobile) and configuration such as adding / deleting cameras, setting recording schedules, retrieving footage, etc.
Basic understanding of access control interfaces such as adding / deleting credentials, setting door schedules, configuring access levels, etc.
Basic IP networking skills (switches and routers, configuring port forwarding, etc.).
Installation and termination of security low voltage cabling (22 / 4, 20 / 4, CAT 5 / E, CAT 6).
Termination of CAT 5 / E and CAT 6.
Dress and route cable from IT closets to device locations (Cameras, Maglocks, Card Readers).
Build out Security equipment racks.
Cable pathway installation (J-hooks, D-rings).
Cable management (dressing and labeling).
Utilize computer programs including word processing, spreadsheets and databases; CCTV and access control systems; media storage.
Read and follow blueprints set for installation.
Follow written and oral communication displaying professionalism with colleagues and management.
Follow safety guidelines and protocols (Proper PPE, clean up jobsite, OSHA).
Job Requirements :
High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
3 years of commercial Security
