Job Description :

Job Responsibilities :

Identify and appraise conditions which could produce accidents and financial losses.

Evaluate potential extent of injuries and losses resulting from accidents.

Develop accident-prevention and loss-control systems and programs for incorporation into operational policies of the organization.

Coordinate safety activities of the ITS Business Unit to ensure implementation of safety activities throughout the organization.

Compile, analyze, and interpret statistical data related to exposure factors concerning standards, injuries, illness and accidents and prepare reports for information of personnel concerned.

Job Tasks :

Recommend process and product safety features that will reduce employees exposure to work hazards.

Develop and mentor employees and take corrective actions when necessary.

Inspect facilities, tools and equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation compliance.

Investigate work related accidents, injuries, or occupational diseases to determine causes and preventive measures.

Review plans and specifications determine whether safety requirements have been met.

Report or review findings from accident investigations site inspections

Evaluate adequacy of actions taken to correct Safety & Health inspection violations.

Maintain & apply knowledge of current safety policies, regulations, and operational processes.

Conduct or facilitate supervisory and field level training of business unit personnel.

Administer and ensure training policy compliance for the ITS Business Unit.

Conduct meetings, toolbox talks with Operations Supervisors and Foreman to discuss standards, cited violations, lessons learned, and potential hazards and to resolve disputes regarding occupational safety issues.
