Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Arborist to join our team. As an Arborist, you will be responsible for the care and maintenance of trees and shrubs, ensuring their health and vitality. Responsibilities: - Perform tree care tasks such as pruning, trimming, and shaping trees to promote healthy growth - Conduct tree risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop appropriate mitigation strategies - Utilize GIS technology to map and track tree inventory - Collaborate with gardeners and landscapers to ensure proper tree placement and integration within the landscape - Operate rigging equipment to safely remove trees or limbs when necessary - Assist in the planting and transplanting of trees - Conduct regular inspections of trees for signs of disease, pests, or other health issues - Provide recommendations for tree fertilization, watering, and overall care - Safely operate bucket trucks for elevated tree work Skills: - Strong knowledge of tree care practices, including pruning techniques, disease identification, and pest management - Proficiency in using GIS technology for mapping and tracking tree inventory - Experience in garden or landscape maintenance - Familiarity with rigging equipment and safe operation procedures - Ability to perform bucket truck operations for elevated tree work - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail We offer competitive compensation based on experience.
