Job Mission:
Provides administrative and secretarial support to admissions department staff, including special projects, follow up calls, correspondence, statistics, data compilation and records control. May perform duties of a sensitive and confidential nature.
Essential Job Functions
Scope of Responsibility
Knows the informal and formal department goals, standards, policies and procedures that may include some familiarity of other departments within the school/division. Is sensitive to the interrelationship of both people and functions within the department.
Decision Making
Carries out duties and responsibilities with limited supervision. Makes decisions and establishes work priorities on essentially procedure-oriented operations.
Authority
Does not direct the activities of staff or a function.
Communication
Exchanges non-routine information using tact and persuasion as appropriate requiring good oral and written communication skills.
Education
Required: High School Diploma or GED
Preferred: Two years college or equivalent work experience
Experience
Two years administrative/office experience required. Three years preferred. Additional education may be substituted for years of experience. Experience working with various software applications required.

Qualifications:
1. Proficiency in MS Office Applications MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
2. Minimum of A.A. degree or at least 60 college units or three years of worker’s comp administrative experience.
3. Experience in student and academic coordination. Related experience as an academic advisor or counselor
4. Strong written and oral communication skills.
