BOUNDLESSCARE.ORG is Hiring a Caregiver (Temp) Near San Francisco, CA
Job duties include helping them to bathe, go to the bathroom, prepare and eat meals, get dressed, light housekeeping, and provide general companionship.
Shift: Monday to Friday 8:00 -to 4:00 pm (time can be adjusted)
- To assist with medication reminders, light house chores, and remind patients to attend Open House.
- The client needs reminders for personal care and assistance with showering once per week.
- Client with poor hygiene habits: caregiver might find urine on the floor. Need to clean it up. Open House will continue to do the deep cleaning as necessary.
- Remind PM medication.
- The caregiver will have an orientation with the home care nurse for 1 day to go over his role. Then he will go with the nurse to meet the client.
- Must be FULLY VACCINATED with Booster Shot.
- Willing to travel from one place to another place within the area.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- A minimum of one-year of experience working with the elderly or frail population is required. No certification is required.
- Flexible to work in multiple environments including home or center.
- Attend training and pass a standardized exam.
- Knowledgeable in basic emergency and safety techniques.
- Be in good physical condition. Ability to stoop, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, talk, hear, and repeat motions of the wrist and hands. Must have visual acuity. Must be able to lift/move weight that is within the individual physical ability and use appropriate lifting devices or request assistance when needed.
- Reliable transportation.
