Wurth Revcar Fasteners, Inc., a division of the Wurth Industry Group, is seeking a highly motivated, career-minded individual as an Accounting Specialist (A/R) for their rapidly expanding Roanoke, VA office. College graduates encouraged to apply!

Job Responsibilities:

• Operates Prophet 21 (P21) software to record, store and analyze information on customers' accounts
• Complies with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations
• Researches and analyzes financial information to accurately answer questions pertaining to those specific accounts
• Utilizes business calculators and copy machines to perform calculations and produce documents
• Creates or reconciles invoices and reports discrepancies found in records
• Communicates frequently with customers via phone and email to address discrepancies and adjust accounts as needed
• Processes incoming payments - checks, credit cards and occasional cash receipts
• Enters, maintains and edits vendors as a check and balance for Accounts Payable
• Processes and delivers monthly statements upon request
• Develops working relationships with customers to ensure their needs are met and a prompt payment is received

Requirements:

• US Citizenship or Naturalized Citizen due to military contracting requirements
• High school diploma with one to two years of financial, administrative or customer service experience, associate degree preferred
• Proficiency, or the ability to reach proficiency, in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
• Experience with an ERP system (Prophet 21 or similar software)
• Possess strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Have the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
• Timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Proficiency in written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills
• Work well in a fast-paced team environment.
• Self-motivated
