U.S. Marine Corps is Hiring a Recreation Assistant (Movie Program) Near Quantico, VA
Duties
What to Expect
- Responsible for opening and securing the facility. Ensures auditorium, concession area, and restrooms are clean prior to patrons arriving.
- Operates a Point of Sale (POS) to sell movie tickets and concession products.
- Ensures concession area is properly stocked prior to opening. Ensures movie hard drives and keys are delivered in a timely manner.
- Performs frequent checks inside the auditorium to ensure sound level and picture quality are properly set.
- Ensures no food, alcohol or other outside beverages are brought into the theater. Conducts security checks of oversized bags and backpacks of patrons entering the facility.
- Reports any problems or incidents to the Theater Manager.
- Oversees the evacuation of the theater in the event of an emergency. Ensures movie schedules and posters are posted in a timely manner.
- Ensures program operates according to MCCS instructions and MCCS Program standards, guidance, and requirements.
- May handle unruly patrons.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of one year experience in customer service-related area.
- Must have the ability to handle money accurately. Skill in the use of Microsoft Office Programs, (e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook), internet research and general personal computer operation.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Knowledge of MCCS Food Handling procedures.
- Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45 lbs independently and objects over 45 lbs with assistance.
