Job Purpose:
The Resident Service Associate (RSA)/Personal Care Aide (PCA) is responsible for performing various customer care activities and related non-professional services essential to caring for personal needs and comfort of customers and residents.
The responsibilities of the RSA/PCA include, but are not limited to the following:
Responsible ensuring that all AM for each resident on your assignment has been rendered.
Job Skills:
· Must be in good physical and mental health
· Must be able to withstand strenuous physical activity.
· Must have visual and aural acuity to detect changes in residents’ conditions.
· Must have manual dexterity to handle instruments and equipment.
· Must possess understanding, patience and tact in dealing with infirm, chronic or acutely ill residents.
· Musts possess tact and courtesy in dealing with Residents, families and visitors.
· Must possess the ability to positively interact with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
· Must have a general knowledge of the Senior Management Personnel and Procedures, along with an understanding of the Chain of Command.
· Must possess the ability to work independently, problem solve, and make decisions as necessary.
· Must have the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions in the English language, which may be technical in nature.
· Must provide annual verification of a negative TB skin test.
