The mission of DC is to educate students who will serve God and impact the world through biblical thought and action. The Director of Human Resources will plan, lead, direct, develop and coordinate the policies and activities of the Human Resource function to ensure the implementation of DC's mission and promote and enhance employee relations.
Essential Responsibilities:
● Collaborate with senior leadership to understand organizational goals related to staffing needs
● Responsible for the posting, recruiting, interviewing for all staffing needs
● Responsible for all employee contracts and salary negotiations
● Oversee the onboarding process for all staff and assist in the onboarding of faculty
● Ensure the compliance of all HR laws and regulations
● Ensure the collection of all clearances for employees and volunteers
● Manage the administration of the HRIS system
● Assist in the coaching, implementation, and execution of Performance Improvement plans
● Manage employee concerns, issues, and conflicts
● Oversee the maintenance of all employee files
● Ensure the compilation and accuracy of all job descriptions
● Manage the maintenance and updates to the Employee Handbook
● Ensure the proper compensation of employees by doing periodic market research and setting
salaries and hourly rates
● Assist in the proper evaluation and banding of faculty and staff
● Provide leadership development and culture training and resources as needed
● Provide human resources counsel and direction to managers and Division heads as needed
● Manage all employee verifications
● Perform all exit interviews and provide a yearly summary
Education/Experience:
● Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred
● Five years or more of experience in Human Resources
● Experience in non-profits or educational institutions preferred
