We are looking for an instructional designer to support development of translated materials for Amazon's Global Operations Learning & Development team.
Key job responsibilities:
- Partner with linguists and project managers to deliver translated learning solutions.
- Integrate translated content across a variety of technical formats.
- Analyze source files and source code to ensure proper translation workflow.
- Provide first-level support for technical questions about the translated solutions.
- Support testing of translated solutions for overall functionality.
- Collaborate with instructional designers and media developers on best practices to support translation workflows.
- Identify and support improvements to processes or tools where needed.
- Contribute to a positive team culture that focuses on doing great work while learning and growing.
Basic qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in instructional design, multimedia development, or equivalent
- Experience with e-learning authoring tools such as Storyline or Captivate
- Experience with media applications such as Adobe Creative Cloud
- Experience with XML and HTML
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with translation management systems
- Experience on machine translation with post-editing (MTPE) projects
- Experience with learning management systems
- Experience developing solutions for bidirectional languages
Contract Length: 6 Months
Location: Nashville, Seattle, Arlington VA or Chicago. (Hybrid)
Pay Range: $27 - $30 per hour
