Middlebury College is Hiring a HR Coordinator Near Middlebury, VT

Position Purpose

Contribute to the smooth and employee-focused work of the People Operations team focused on time, labor, absence management, benefits, payroll and keeping employee information up to date in the HRIS tool (Oracle HCM). Provide direct customer service and operational support to ensure prompt, courteous and knowledgeable service to all customers.

This is a full time, benefits eligible, hourly position with a hiring range of $19.90 to $24.88 per hour.

Core Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with HR team to support essential People Operations functions such as hiring, onboarding, data integrity, and special benefits processing.

• Run published audit reports, review for data anomalies, correct source data as needed, and resolve integration errors.

• Enter record updates associated with routine business processes such as salary changes, assignment updates, directory information changes, and creation of new jobs or positions.

• Manage operational aspects of leave management, timekeeping, dependent tuition, professional development fund and other organization-wide programs and initiatives.

• Provide support for end users utilizing the Oracle HCM system as well as manager self-service. Assist customers with routine end user questions related to personal information, and initiate business processes within Oracle.

• Serve as point of contact for the department, responding to phone, email and in-person inquiries. Directs employees as necessary to internal and GMHEC shared services.

Position Prerequisites

• Associate’s degree preferably in Human Resources, office management or related field. Interest in gaining experience and exposure to a wide range of people-related functions with Human Resources.

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Strong attention to details and ability to manage complex tasks and projects.

Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, stressful environment and handle confidential information with discretion.

Able to project a warm, welcoming, and competent image to customers and meet all customers where they are in providing support.

Experience working with cloud based human capital management systems such as Oracle or Workday is desirable.

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, team collaboration and database systems.

Solid knowledge of general office procedures, equipment, etc.
