POSITION SUMMARY
The Assistant Site Manager reports to the Site Manager and is responsible for facilitating the morning production line at HQ. The position is responsible for supporting the site with route coverage, phone support, and site administrative duties. This position also assists with Community Dining at assigned locations, and helps to support special events as needed. The Assistant Site Manager will also help to obtain required participant signatures and help with special projects as assigned.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Set up morning production line, including team members and meal components
· Create, organize, and stage route bags and clipboards as directed
· Verify meal counts and any special driver instructions at the start of day for assigned routes
· Become familiar with and utilize ServTracker, client database system
· Support administrative needs; fill in for the Site Manager as needed to ensure continuity of services
· Assists with supervising team of staff and volunteers and helps to provide ongoing training and support as needed
· Understand the process for following up on client concerns, including change in condition, incident reports, and referrals to the state
· Assist with weekly/monthly reporting deliverables as needed
· Drive Meals on Wheels routes as needed
· Assist in training prospective new volunteers and staff members including, ride-alongs, packing/verifying meal counts, use of the Mobile Meals application, and answering questions pertaining to the driver role
· Facilitate community dining at designated site locations
· Responsible for assisting with client paperwork, including traveling to clients for needed documents/signatures
· Assisting with special projects as assigned
· Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
· High school graduate or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree preferred
· Ability to work with clients, co-workers in a professional and respectful manner
· Must acquire and maintain ServSafe certification
· Intermediate/advanced knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
· Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information
· Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with a high degree of skill and discretion
· Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail and organization skills
· Ability to manage time and multitask effectively
· Strong work ethic and judgment, flexibility, and a good sense of humor
· More than any particular experience, must have a strong desire to contribute to the mission of Meals on Wheels
· Must have and maintain a vehicle that has current registration and safety inspection
· Ability to lift up to 30lbs and climb stairs
· Must have a valid driver’s license, and proof of automobile insurance with a minimum of liability coverage of no less than $100,000 per person and $300,000 per occurrence required
