The Engineering Technician will be responsible for a variety of responsibilities to include:
Troubleshoot test equipment.
Maintain hand tools and keep the lab orderly.
Support continuous improvement and technical investigations.
Fabricate test fixtures and methods for unique, product specific applications.
Assist with the design of specialized test equipment and development of operating procedures.
Assemble small scale products for testing which may include electrical and chemical components.
Conduct testing, record data and document and communicate test results.
Maintain test equipment and equipment logbooks.
Investigate product failures through disassembly and characterization of subsystems and discreet components.
Provide laboratory technical expertise in operation of laboratory equipment used to design consumer products.
Independently operate designated machines that may include analytical balances, meters, hand tools, soldering irons, personal computer, and special laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, environmental chambers, 3D printers, and specialized prototype tooling.
Create SOPs/Engineering Test Plans (ETP) as required.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other STEM field and 0-3 years’ experience OR Associate's degree in engineering or other STEM field or engineering technician certification and 3 years’ experience in a similar role
Experience with the Microsoft Office suite.
Capable of independently operating designated machines, analytical tools, and assembling small scale electromechanical devices.
Demonstrated ability to fabricate mechanical and/or electrical test fixtures and methods for unique, product specific applications.
