Overview:The Director of Project Management will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of all electrical engineering projects. This role requires a seasoned project management professional with a deep understanding of project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex projects, leading teams, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project managers, ensuring they have the resources and support needed to succeed.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Oversee the development of project plans, including defining project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Ensure all projects are executed in accordance with company standards, industry best practices, and client requirements.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, including cost estimation, allocation, and control.
  • Monitor project financial performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, providing insights into project profitability and financial health.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve project management processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to improve project outcomes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Masters degree or PMP certification is preferred.
  • PMP certification is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in project management within the electrical engineering or construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing project teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
