An established construction/property management company is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team in Holyoke, MA!

Responsibilities:

• Receive sort verify accuracy and match pertinent data for vendor invoices
• Research and clarify discrepancies with vendors and company personnel
• Scan and enter invoices into TimberScan
• Reconcile real estate and security deposit bank accounts monthly for both affiliated and non-affiliated companies
• Address discrepancies with the bookkeeper and accountant
• Prepare replacement reserve reimbursement requests and assemble supporting documentation for management contracts
• Maintain the EMS schedule for commercial and residential properties
• Assist property accountants and controller with expense allocations by identifying necessary data for timely reporting
• Provide coverage for the receptionist area on an alternating schedule greeting visitors answering phones and routing calls as per established procedures
• Provide back-up for similar positions during vacations or other absences
• Maintain consistent and reliable attendance

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Minimum of one year of relevant experience ideally in accounting with an understanding of debits and credits
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Ability to learn Sage and TimberScan
• Strong technical acumen and basic understanding of accounting procedures and accounts payable
