Overview
Lead the development of retail promotion strategy grounded in consumer insights, customer behaviors, regional preferences and sales performance
ResponsibilitiesAccountabilities :
Assists Category Mgmt. team in achieving service level goals of 97.5% in grocery, 98% in dairy and frozen food and 96% in GM / HBC
Maintains billback tracking and maintenance, initiating reports as needed to ensure monies are collected
Ensures compliance with all applicable FSMA regulations, Food Safety Plans and other company policies and standards
Responsible for proofing of weekly ads as well as seasonal promotions and special sales
Conducts ad versioning to allow for regional preferences, business needs and increasing sales
Provides timely information to all retailers on upcoming promotions and serves as a point of contact for addressing issues or concerns
Interacts with vendors as it relates to group contracts and promotional items
Assists in training Associate Buyers on negotiating skills and retail promotions
Works with Category Management and Services in preparation of the Merchandising Shows
Assists in Sales Plan maintenance and developing seasonal and other promotional offers to increase consumer sales
Prepares forecasts for promotional revenue and provides guidance on ad publication and media activities
Coordinates with the Brand Director to prepare financial reports and perform research on all new promotional revenue streams and develop required sales products
QualificationsDesirable Qualifications :
Incumbent should possess knowledge and skills generally associated with a bachelor’s degree in business or 3-4 years in a related field
1-2 years retail experience preferred
Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership and analytical skills
Multi-tasking with strong organizational skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
Dimensions :
Affecting inventory in the range of $2 - $6 million
Serves on task force, committees and other related work groups
Assists with purchases / sales in excess of $450 million annually
Direction / Responsibility :
Works under the general direction of the Brand Director
