Head Injury Association is seeking full-time Day Habilitation Specialist to provide direct care to individuals supported in our day program located in Hauppauge.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Ensuring health, wellness and safety and providing appropriate supervision of people supported.
- Building positive relationships with individuals supported as well as fellow co-workers
- Using effective communication and time management skills
- Completing mandatory trainings
- Adhering to HIA’s policies, procedures and regulations
- Transporting and escorting people we support on recreational activities, and community outings, etc.
- Helping the individuals we support achieve their goals
Available Shifts: Monday – Friday: 7:30 AM- 8:30 PM or 9AM-4PM
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must have a valid NYS license
- Experience preferred but not required
Salary: $16.10/hour
