Expentor is Hiring a QC Supervisor Near Hauppauge, NY
- Direction of the activities and team members of a shift team.
- Accountable for the work output of a shift team.
- Accountable to provide for the needs of a shift team.
- Accountable to address team member concerns and escalate as required.
- Reports to Section Head or higher.
- Setting shift work schedules to align with department priorities.
- Ensure work on an individual or group basis, as required.
- Oversee cGMP compliance of the shift.
- Review the work of shift.
- Conduct troubleshooting or investigation activities in a shift.
- Be a Subject Matter Expert on instruments or equipment in the shift and department setting.
- Ensuring that tools are provided, and concerns are escalated, as appropriate.
- Ensure that the shift teams are working in a safe way and following all safety rules and procedures.
- Ensure compliance to all data integrity and cGMP practices, procedures, and expectations.
- Specific duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree (BS or BA), physical sciences preferred.
- Must have a background in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Understanding of lab equipment and QC testing techniques required.
- No less than eight (8) years of relevant QC pharmaceutical lab experience.
- No less than 3 years of relevant experience directing work in a group setting.
- Proficiently speak English as a first or second language
- Proficiently communicate and understand (read and write) scientific work in English.
- Have excellent organization, learning and teaching skills required to work in teams.
- Ability to understand and analyze complex data sets.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and other scientific based software
- UV, HPLC, DSC, and other tests.
- Know how to use dissolution instruments.
- LIMS and empower.
- Work standing or walking unassisted for 75% or greater of an 8-hour period.
- Unassisted lifting up-to 10 kg, may be required.
- Able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times, when required.
- Sitting at a desk and/or working at a computer or other “screen” 75% or greater of an 8-hour period.
