OVERVIEW
We are looking for a motivated professional to join our team as a Staff Accountant. This is an exceptional opportunity for a driven candidate to apply and expand their accounting experience. The ideal candidate will have a clear understanding of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, taxes and other standard financial transactions within an organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct general-ledger account reconciliations, verify accuracy of data, and identify and correct errors made by internal and external personnel.
- Prepare journal entries and project accounting reports.
- Account Analysis.
- Support month end close process and reporting deadlines.
- Weekly General Ledger cash to bank reconciliation.
- Monthly bank reconciliations.
- Research and report variances in budget to management.
- Review, investigate and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents and reports.
- Support external audits to ensure compliance.
- Perform ad-hoc projects as directed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance.
- Must have 2 years of General Ledger Accounting experience with a working knowledge of GAAP and accounting concepts.
- Strong attention to detail, accurate, reliable and organized.
- Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives as well as part of a team.
- Ability to learn quickly and foster relationships with business division leads.
- Intermediate/Advanced Excel user; Proficiency with other Microsoft Office products.
- ERP systems experience (NetSuite a plus).
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
