We are seeking an experienced and driven AUTOMOTIVE FINANCE MANAGER (Hilo location) to join our team. In fact, we have the traffic and growth plans in place, that we are looking for 1 Finance Manager at each of our locations in Hilo and Kona. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive finance, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage and enhance the finance department's operations. The Automotive Finance Manager will be responsible for securing financing for vehicle purchases, managing lender relationships, providing information on and selling numerous ownership protection products and/or packages, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and dealership policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Finance and Sales Support:

• Assist customers in securing financing for vehicle purchases, including processing loan applications and negotiating terms with lenders.
• Review and explain financing options, loan terms, and payment plans to customers, ensuring they understand their obligations.
• Work closely with the sales team to facilitate smooth transactions and improve overall sales performance and customer experience.

Lender Relations:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with banks, credit unions, and other financial institutions.
• Negotiate with lenders to obtain the most competitive financing terms and rates for customers.
• Stay updated on lender programs, policies, and industry trends to provide the most competitive financing options.

Compliance and Documentation:

• Ensure all financing transactions comply with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as dealership policies.
• Prepare and review all necessary documentation related to vehicle financing, including but not limited to loan applications, contracts, and title work.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.

Customer Service:

• Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any questions or concerns customers may have about their financing options.
• Resolve any issues or disputes related to financing in a timely and professional manner.
• Follow up with customers post-sale to ensure satisfaction and address any ongoing financing needs.

Department Management:

• Oversee the daily operations of the finance department, and ensuring efficient workflow.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve finance department performance and profitability.
• Monitor and analyze financial metrics, preparing regular reports for management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in automotive finance or a related auto dealership sales role.
• Strong knowledge of automotive financing, lender programs, and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in dealership management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• A.F.I.P Certification; or willing to get certified

Job Type: Full-time position with regular business hours; occasional evenings, weekends, and overtime may be required.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
