The Plant Maintenance Supervisor’s primary responsibilities include the facility maintenance and operations, code compliance, planning, design and construction, and facilities finance management. Reporting to the Regional Director of Facilities, the Plant Operations Supervisor provides leadership for the day-to-day operations of our busy hospital campus.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
EDUCATION: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited four (4) year college or university strongly preferred. Excess work experience as described below in the experience section or any other responsible administrative or professional work experience which provided knowledge, skills, and abilities comparable to those acquired in four years of successful study while completing a university or college curriculum may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis. To be acceptable, the experience must have been of such scope, level and quality as to assure the possession of comparable knowledge, skills and abilities.
EXPERIENCE:
Specialized Experience: Four (4) years of specialized experience which included experience in one or a combination of the following types of work:
Supervisory Experience: Two (2) years of experience which included planning and directing the work of others; assigning and reviewing their work, advising them on difficult problem areas; timing and scheduling their work; and providing training. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office to include Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Healthcare supervisory experience preferred.
CERTIFICATION: Certified Healthcare Facilities Manager (CHFM) certification strongly preferred
LICENSURE: A valid State of Hawaii driver’s license, Type 3 is preferred.

Benefits* Rates listed for paid holidays, vacation and sick days are for 1.0 Full Time Equivalent (FTE) positions assigned to 8 hour shifts. Accruals for these benefits are otherwise prorated based on FTE.

Medical Examination RequirementOffers of employment will be contingent on successfully passing a pre-employment examination, which includes drug screen and other regulatory medical requirements such as, but not limited to, a tuberculosis (TB) screen. The cost for drug screening and blood draw for QuantiFERON and Titers, shall be borne by the Hawaii Health Systems Corporation.

Shift DetailsMust be available to work shifts, weekends and holidays as necessary based on hospital operations. Services are provided 24/7.
