As a private, small intimate company, we are looking for an individual who will exhibit leadership and set the standards for best practices within the industry, as well as the company to continue the momentum.

What we are hoping to find in YOU is a sales professional with a strong desire to make a visible impact. We know that each sales position expects continued growth within the existing account base, uncovering new business opportunities and actively seeking expansion. With this unique opportunity, you'll be responsible for developing a sales methodology and processes that work best within the MAK Wood framework while working closely with the Operations team establishing KPIs and budget targets. The sales professional we are searching for will lay the foundation for growth.

Responsibilities

As the Technical Sales Manager, the job responsibilities include:

  • Think and lead strategically and possess a strong understanding of each customer's organization, R&D and decision-making process
  • Assess new business development opportunities and execute a plan to secure new business to achieve YoY growth
  • Ability to build and foster strong relationships with strategic accounts while maintaining account expansion and retention
  • Manage and support existing customers by providing forecasts, quotes and orders
  • Establish a robust pipeline by identifying and cultivating new customers
  • Develop/Execute monthly, quarterly & yearly sales budget targets.
  • Strive to meet and/or exceed sales targets
  • Develop/Execute strategies and execution plans for targeted customers
  • Maintain a strong technical knowledge of customer requirements and expert knowledge on industry trends.
  • Prepare detailed sales proposals
  • Work closely with the product team to ensure timely and precise delivery of product orders.
  • Provide support to customers, identifying and resolving challenges, escalating as required.
  • Create and execute product promotions and market strategies.
  • Be informed of market conditions, product innovations, and competitors products, prices and sales
  • Ability to travel as required for trade shows and customer visits

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess the following requirements:

  • BS/BA in Sciences or a related field
  • 5 years of B2B sales experience within the food sciences, dietary supplements or pharmaceuticals industry
  • Familiarity with FDA and GMP regulations
  • Superior communication, intuitive, multitasking, interpersonal, and problem solving
  • Excellent organization skills with the ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment
  • Self-directed, self-motivated and results driven
  • Customer Service focused with the ability to maintain and develop strong relationships
  • Effective presentation skills
  • Valid Driver’s License in good standing
  • Ability to travel 25-50% as needed
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Compensation
