Recently named a Top Resort in the Midwest by Conde Nast Traveler, this award-winning, all seasons resort features over 746 guest accommodations, WELL Spa & Salon, two championship golf courses, ski and waterpark facilities and fine dining establishments. The resort is also adjacent to Timber Ridge Lodge & Waterpark - the only all-season, all-suite destination of its kind in the Midwest, White River Villas and the Vacation Club.

As Director of Human Resources at the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa, we are seeking an engaged strategic business partner who will supervise a human resources team of 6 and be responsible for directing talent acquisition, training and development, policy administration, and coaching and performance management. The ideal candidate will work with leadership at all levels to effectively supervise and motivate our more than 1000 resort associates in all departments.

Other Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all areas of human resource administration, including but not limited to: talent selection and team building, organizational development, associate relations, and benefits and workers compensation administration
  • Recommend, evaluate, and participate in training and development programs, and remain current with industry trends in order to make necessary recommendations
  • Ensure communication of and compliance with all policies, standards and practices, as well as federal, state and local legislation pertaining to employment law
  • Administer standard performance management and compensation practices
  • Develop and manage a large annual budget and ensure effective expense controls are in place
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a related field of study preferred
  • 8 to 10 years overall HR experience, preferably including prior specialized roles in areas such as talent acquisition, associate relations, training, benefits, etc.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience as a proven HR Leader, preferably at a large hotel or resort
  • Past experience in destination setting is ideal, with high-volume recruitment based on seasonal demands
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact in a positive, constructive manner throughout all levels of the organization
  • Past experience managing budgets and expenses preferred
  • PeopleSoft and Taleo Enterprise experience helpful
