Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Auto Body Technician to join our team. As an Auto Body Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring damaged vehicles to their original condition. This is a hands-on role that requires expertise in welding, auto restoration, painting, and mechanical knowledge.
Possible Duties:
- Perform body repairs, including dent removal, panel replacement, and frame straightening
- Repair or replace damaged vehicle parts, such as fenders, doors, and bumpers
- Fabricate and weld metal components to restore vehicle structure
- Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, masking, and priming
- Apply paint using airless paint spraying equipment
- Perform auto glass repairs or replacements
- Conduct mechanical inspections to identify additional repair needs
- Ensure quality control by inspecting finished work for accuracy and completeness
- Provide customer service by addressing customer concerns and answering questions
Requirements:
- Experience as an Auto Body Technician
- Proficient in welding techniques and metal fabrication
- Knowledge of auto restoration techniques and industry standards
- Familiarity with airless paint spraying equipment and techniques
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality workmanship
- Mechanical knowledge to diagnose and address additional repair needs
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
- Excellent people skills to interact with customers and coworkers effectively
