Job Summary:
As a member of the company management team, the Business Development Manager has primary responsibility for the company's project acquisition performance. Oversees project acquisition process including project development, customer proposals, and presentations for all projects in municipal, school district and commercial sectors. Identifies new sales opportunities within existing channels and developing new distribution channel strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Promotes a strong understanding of the company and the benefits of our products and services offered.
- Oversees project acquisition process to identify savings opportunities, including field audits, comprehensive energy and costing models, utility incentive submissions, financing programs and proposal creation.
- Prepare bid packages and confirm that all bid documents and requirements are met.
- Lead new and existing networking opportunities, such as trade shows, conferences, and coordinate Affinity's goals and involvement in those events.
- Prepare and present sales forecasts, reports and performance metrics to senior management team, providing insights and recommendations for sales strategy and improvement.
- Actively participate in new product development to prepare marketing and distribution strategies.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of all marketing materials.
- Regular review of performance and management of team to create growth.
- Upon successful project acquisition, clearly and effectively communicate project requirements to Project Operations team.
- Work closely with our Operations Team to understand our products and services thoroughly, allowing you to provide tailored solutions to meet our clients' needs.
-Assist Operations Team and Assembly Team, and Project Manager on any additional task as needed to move projects forward efficiently and on time per contract deadlines.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years Sales and/or Business Development Management experience.
- Experience in the LED Lighting and/or Energy Services industry preferred.
- Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or a related field.
- Resume and cover letter required.
