Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Business Development Manager to join our growing team at Defense Security Management. As a key player in our startup, you will be instrumental in driving the growth and success of our IT training and testing business. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on our company's growth trajectory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • · Business Growth Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to drive revenue growth and market expansion for our IT training and testing services.
  • · Client Acquisition: Identify, target, and acquire new clients, including businesses, educational institutions, and individual learners, through proactive outreach, networking, and relationship-building.
  • · Partnership Development: Explore and cultivate partnerships with technology companies, educational institutions, and industry organizations to create collaborative opportunities and expand our reach.
  • · Market Research: Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitor activities, and potential opportunities for product/service enhancements.
  • · Sales and Revenue Generation: Lead the sales process, negotiate contracts, and close deals to achieve sales targets and revenue goals.
  • · Client Relationship Management: Foster and maintain strong client relationships by understanding their needs, addressing inquiries, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the engagement lifecycle.
  • · Marketing Collaboration: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted marketing materials, campaigns, and promotional strategies to support sales efforts.
  • · Product Feedback: Gather feedback from clients and stakeholders to provide valuable insights for the continuous improvement of our IT training and testing services.
  • · Sales Reporting: Track and report sales metrics, pipeline progress, and market insights to the leadership team on a regular basis.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role, ideally within the IT training and testing industry.
  • Strong understanding of IT training and certification programs.
  • Exceptional sales and negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to close deals.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
  • Self-motivated, driven, and results-oriented.
  • Ability to work in a startup environment and adapt to changing priorities.

This is a Part-Time Commission ONLY hybrid position with advancement opportunities to become a permanent role. You will get paid pay per new clients you bring in!

NOTE: We are looking for candidates who are based in the DMV area.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Up to $6,000.00 per month

Expected hours: 4 – 8 per week

Benefits:

  • 4 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

  • Bonus opportunities
  • Commission pay

Travel requirement:

  • No travel
