We are in search of a skilled Contracts Manager with 9-13 years' of experience to help drive the future of lunar surface mobility in a dynamic startup environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in drafting and executing contractual documents
- Facilitate negotiations with suppliers, subcontractors, customers, and government entities
- Evaluate contractual terms, mitigate risks, and negotiate on behalf of the company
- Manage contract implementation with subcontractors, ensuring mutual obligations are met
- Regularly audit and maintain comprehensive contract records to ensure compliance
- Coordinate and support contract administration across various departments
- Assist with government compliance efforts
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or a relevant field
- Minimum of 9 years' experience in contract administration or a related field, preferably in aerospace or technology startups
- Thorough understanding of contract law, including formation, interpretation, and execution
- Strong negotiation skills with a focus on achieving favorable terms while nurturing positive relationships
- Experience managing contracts with the U.S. government
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- U.S. citizenship or legal residency
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role within aerospace or technology startups
- Advanced degree or certification (e.g., JD, CPCM)
- Familiarity with space industry contracts, including NASA or DoD agreements and relevant regulations like FAR, DFARS, and NFS
- Knowledge of intellectual property rights and licensing in the space sector
- Experience with international contracts and cross-border transactions
