Job Title: Accountant
Job Type: 6-month Contract-to-Hire
Location: Downtown Chattanooga
Work Authorization: USC OR GC
Pay Rate: $30-35/hr
Shift hours: Onsite M-F, 8:00-5:00pm hours
A Chattanooga company is looking for a Senior Accountant to work on-site five days a week in its downtown location. This Senior Accountant will report directly to the Controller and be responsible for month-end close, preparing and auditing journal entries, managing the fixed asset system, and bank reconciliations.
Responsibilities Overview:
- Report directly to the Controller
- Responsible for month-end close procedures
- Prepare and audit journal entries
- Manage the fixed asset system
- Perform bank reconciliations
Must Haves:
- Bachelors degree in accounting
- Experience preparing month-end close
- Maintaining fixed asset system and bank reconciliations
- Experience preparing journal entries for General Ledger
