Robert Half is seeking a short-term contract / temporary Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to become a vital part of a rapidly growing team at a respectable company in the Manufacturing industry. Serving as the Accounts Payable Clerk, you will match, batch, and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. This position requires people who have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of accounting and its principles, hands on, and the ability to think on your feet. This Accounts Payable Clerk opportunity will be located in the Central Islip, New York area and will be a short-term contract / temporary position.What you get to do every single day- Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis- Perform special projects as assigned- Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed- Verify, log and send checks, including facilitating special handling- Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department- Produce full-cycle A/P- Assist with internal and external audits as needed- Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs- Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies
