As a medical assistant in urgent care, your primary role will be to provide assistance to healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality and efficient patient care. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with a diverse team to ensure smooth operations and outstanding patient experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and triage patients, obtain their medical history, and record vital signs accurately.
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist the healthcare provider as needed during procedures.
• Perform diagnostic tests, such as EKGs and lab specimen collection, while adhering to safety protocols.
• Administer medications and vaccinations under the direct supervision of healthcare professionals.
• Assist in managing patient flow, ensuring timely and efficient care delivery.
• Maintain and organize medical supplies, equipment, and examination rooms.
• acilitate effective communication between patients, healthcare professionals, and other staff members.
• Document patient information accurately and maintain electronic health records.
• Follow HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.

Requirements:

• Prior experience working in an urgent care setting or similar fast-paced medical environment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and proficiency in performing clinical procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and work well under pressure.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and medical software.
• Willingness to adapt to changing procedures, technologies, and responsibilities.
• Awareness of infection control and safety protocols.
