Maison Sun is Hiring a Lead Server Near Brooklyn, NY
As lead server, you are foremost responsible for cooperating with the management team, ensuring standards are held to those of Chef and our Head Sommelier. This is a full time position, which requires flexible schedule availability, including nights and weekends. Maison Sun is currently open Wednesday - Sunday. We are closed for Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
Compensation
The rate for this position is $10 per hour plus gratuities. Gratuities for this position average $800-$1000 weekly.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Must have 2 years experience in a fast paced NYC restaurant.
- Experience working with Resy and Tock is preferred.
- Must be knowledgeable of Industry critics & awards.
- Must have full schedule availability
- Must be able to take constructive criticism and work well in a team dynamic.
- Greet incoming guests with a warm, noticeably appreciative demeanor, genuine smile, and eye contact.
SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be warm, knowledgeable and noticeably appreciative.
- Accommodate guests by making each individual feel welcome.
- Act professionally and always maintain composure.
- Identify and report problems to management immediately.
- Be aware of service flow, dining timing, and adjust for each guest’s individual needs.
- Know how to properly mark and clear a table.
- Polish glassware.
- Implement and follow steps of service.
