Job Description:
We are looking for a passionate and skilled Sous Chef with 3-5 years of experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in Spanish and English, have extensive knowledge of Dominican, Caribbean, and Latin fusion cuisine, and be committed to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and kitchen cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Executive Chef in planning and directing food preparation in the kitchen.
• Ensure consistent quality and presentation of all dishes.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and other kitchen staff.
• Monitor and enforce food safety and sanitation standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen areas.
• Manage inventory and control food costs.
• Train and mentor kitchen staff to maintain high performance standards.
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop new recipes and menu items.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience as a Sous Chef in a fast-paced restaurant.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English.
• Extensive knowledge of Dominican, Caribbean, and Latin fusion cuisine.
• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Ability to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
