Saddlehill Cellars is looking for a culinary artist to make their mark in the world of fine dining as our full-time Sous Chef. Our winery in Vorhees Township, NJ needs an energetic and enthusiastic person to provide invaluable support in our kitchen.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 years of kitchen management experience
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and some holidays
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to show up on time

2 years of upscale or fine dining experience would be preferred. Basic computer proficiency would be a bonus.

WHAT TO EXPECT AS OUR SOUS CHEF

You work a full-time schedule from Wednesday - Sunday with some flexibility as needed. We're open for lunch and dinner from 11:30 am - 9:00 pm.

You lead your team in successfully completing meal service on a regular basis and for special events, ensuring all food quality and safety standards are met. Motivated to deliver the best culinary experiences to guests, you assist with daily prep, keep the kitchen clean and organized, and jump in wherever needed.

You work closely with our executive chef to create decorative food displays, demonstrate the appropriate behaviors to your team, and inspire your crew to do their best. Upholding the highest standards in the kitchen, you oversee proper food storage, ensure food is cooked properly, participate in performance reviews, and train team members as needed.
