The production Manager is responsible for setting goals and working with the Production Scheduler to plan and achieve targets on time ensuring that finished products meet quality and customer standards. The position requires setting and monitoring production schedules, adjusting schedules as needed, managing Process Owners, creating production reports, all while maintaining the health and safety of the departments. The role requires someone dynamic, energetic, self-driven, results oriented, and above all who has a positive “can do” outlook with a clear focus on deliverables.

The overall responsibilities include but are not limited to:

·Ensure that Health and Safety rules and regulations are adhered to during the shift and all matters relating to this are dealt with using the resources within the company in line with the Company Safety policy.

·Assign production sequences to meet production goals and provide feedback to Process Owners and employees as to whether production goals are met.

·Coordinate with Maintenance on the preventative maintenance required for the facility and equipment.

·Maintain contact with the Sales Department so that customer requirements are efficiently met and maximum utilization of the facility is obtained.

·Work with General Manager on development of departmental budgets and obligations, and continues to maintain intended profit for each department on a monthly basis.

·Ensure that all operating SOPs are developed and that production employees have been trained to meet operation objectives.

·Address quality concerns regarding failure rates by communicating with QC department and operations supervision to ensure quality and customer satisfaction.

·Confer with other department managers to coordinate operations and activities with or between departments.

·Aggressively measure and improve upon all Key Performance Indicators (KPI) categories. Leads and facilitates continuous improvement activities.

·Establish and promote teamwork atmosphere between departments and supervisors to accomplish company mission.

Skills and Experience Required:

·Strong abilities for motivating employees and employee development

A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution or a combination of skills and experience

·3 to 5 years of experience a production supervisor

·Strong problem solving skills with the ability to seek resources as needed

·An approach to work that includes initiative, sound judgement, diplomacy and discretion

·Ability to drive process improvement

·Collaborative interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships

·Ability to prioritize work independently

·Uncompromised commitment to client focus and exceptional customer service

·Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
