**Position Summary:**
The Cardiovascular Services Technologist plays a critical role in assisting physicians during invasive procedures, aiding in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac and peripheral vascular diseases. This role requires exceptional technical skills, knowledge, and a commitment to providing the highest level of patient care.
**Responsibilities:**
- Assist physicians during invasive procedures using specialized equipment.
- Demonstrate proficiency in vascular and related organ anatomy.
- Utilize computer software applications relevant to the position.
- Maintain excellent customer service and interdepartmental communication.
- Work effectively within a team and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Independently handle tasks with minimal supervision.
- Administer cardiovascular tests and related duties.
- Place leads and electrodes accurately.
- Understand and follow safety protocols.
**Skills and Abilities:**
- Proficient in medical terminology.
- Familiarity with EMR systems.
- Knowledge of cardiovascular tests and procedures.
- Able to use standard office equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Independent judgment and teamwork.
**Education/Certifications/Licenses:**
- Completion of approved Imaging Technology Program.
- Current registration with the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI).
- American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current ARRT (R) certification.
- Image Wisely and Image Gently pledge certificates (within 30 days of hire and annually).
**Experience:**
- Previous cardiovascular lab experience required.
- Minimum of three (3) years relevant experience in a Cardiac Cath lab.
- Hospital setting experience preferred.
**Additional Certifications (Job Specific):**
- For Job code 626: Hold one of the following certifications:
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist.
- Vascular Intervention Certification.
- Cardiac Intervention Certification.
- For Job code 630: Hold two of the following certifications:
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist.

- Cardiac Intervention Certification.
