**Job Description: Dialectical Behavioral Therapist (DBT)**
**Job Summary:**
We have an exciting opportunity for a Dialectical Behavioral Therapist (DBT) to join our team of talented professionals. As a Dialectical Behavioral Therapist in the Adult Behavioral Health Program, you will be responsible for maintaining a caseload of clients with primary diagnoses of substance abuse/chemical dependence and/or mental health. Your role will involve conducting intake assessments, maintaining timely case records, completing authorizations with funding sources, and providing appropriate individual and group psychotherapy. You'll play a crucial part in helping clients unlock their potential and build better lives.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Maintain a caseload of clients with substance abuse/chemical dependency and/or mental health diagnoses.
- Conduct intake assessments and maintain case records in a timely manner.
- Complete authorizations with various funding sources.
- Provide individual and group psychotherapy.
- Collaborate with the DBT team for consultation meetings, groups, and on-call duties.
- Work effectively with a diverse population, engaging and maintaining therapeutic relationships.
- Provide trauma-informed care and handle crisis situations.
- Utilize technology proficiently and demonstrate effective organizational and communication skills.
**Qualifications:**
- Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling from an accredited program.
- Corresponding State of Michigan licensure (LLMSW, LMSW, TLLP, Ph.D/LP, LLPC, LPC).
- Minimum of one year of experience with adult clients dealing with substance abuse/chemical dependency and/or mental health diagnoses.
- Eligibility for Qualified Mental Health Professional provisional certification, with full certification required within 4 months.
- Competence in individual, family, and group substance abuse chemical dependency treatment and mental health.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Cultural competency and ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Willingness to complete and become certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and maintain fidelity to the model.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and a nonjudgmental approach.
- Proficiently handle crisis situations and provide trauma-informed care.
- Effectively navigate a network of services within the community.
- Proficiency in using technology.
- Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.

**Work Schedule:**

**Requirements:**
