POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, the Director of HR provides leadership, consultative recommendations, and support for the following functions: strategic human resources (HRBP), employee relations, associate relations and the HR service center. Provides multi-faceted direction in developing and executing human capital strategy, organization design in complex care models and partners with operations to deliver value added HR Services. Promotes positive employee relations throughout the organization by ensuring development and implementation of consistent and equitable processes, providing guidance on best practices, identifying solutions and diffusing issues to mitigate risk, and maintaining legal compliance. Counsels associates and management on issues related to EEOC, ADA, performance, and termination guidelines. Oversees the development of an HR Service center. Provides oversight and guidance to the Associate Relations function.
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business, Human Resources or a related field. Minimum of ten (10) years of HR experience at a large-sized organization required, preferably in a health care environment. Master’s Degree preferred. Minimum of seven (7) years of progressively more responsible management experience.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
PHR/SPHR designation is highly desirable.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Thorough knowledge of strategic HR functions and expertise in working in an HR Business Partner Model. Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical and organizational design expertise. Ability to identify issues and lead a team to create the strategic direction. General HR knowledge in other areas of Human Resources.
