Mariposa Center For Safety is Hiring a Teresa's Place Center Supervisor Near Pueblo, CO

Description

As the MCS Teresa’s Place Center Supervisor, you would play a central role in helping our clients access services and resources, and monitoring visits between children and parents. You would use your professional skills to assist clients in managing and overcoming their difficulties to improve day to day functioning, assessing clients for services, support other members of the team, and collaborate with professionals within and outside our agency to assure that clients receive the very best care available. 

Specifically, the MCS Teresa’s Place Center Supervisor will/is:

  • Oversee all of Teresa’s Place services
  • Provide Supervision to all of the staff at the center
  • Responsible for training of new employees
  • Conducts reviews of employees per the policies of the MCS
  • Responsible for completing reporting requirements for grants and department updates
  • Able to lead and direct staff effectively in the absence of the director of programming
  • Oversee exchanges and supervise visits
  • Schedule visits and participate in case reviews
  • Intervene if necessary by redirecting activities or terminating visits
  • Make appropriate referrals to MCS DV Services Programs, MCS counselors and local resources/services
  • Identifies and understands available resources and builds and maintains effective working relationships with a network of interdisciplinary systems
  • Organizes materials, services and activities to accomplish program goals efficiently and effectively
  • Engages with other team members in group process to identify and solve problems
  • Prepares clear, accurate and appropriate written communication and/or documents and is able to demonstrate positive/effective verbal communication
  • Maintains competency and proficiency in Domestic Violence training (will complete 15 hours of training each year)
  • Will have on call responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation and data for monthly and quarterly reports
  • Performs other job-related duties assigned by the director or designee.

Physical requirements include the following:

Requires standing, sitting, driving, and walking for prolonged periods of time

Occasionally lifts and carries items up to 20 pounds

Requires working under stress in emergency situations

Requires range of hearing and eyesight to record data electronically and communicate with clients

Requires occasional driving in adverse weather conditions

Requires frequent operation of a computer keyboard and mouse

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Behavioral Science or a related field 

• Minimum two years work experience working full time

• Proficient in basic computer skills

• Colorado driver’s license, a good driving record and transportation

• Experience working with diverse, at-risk youth

• Public speaking and group facilitation

• Spanish language skills
