JOB SUMMARY:
The Business Development Representative (BDR) is a sales representative that is responsible for generating new business opportunities, usually through cold calls, canvas calls, networking and social selling. Business Development is the process of driving strategic opportunities for a business or organization.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Identify and research potential clients & business opportunities while gathering useful information from customer and competitor data.
· Execute a minimum of 100 touches per week through a combination of emails, cold calls, and appointments to generate leads and build relationships with potential clients.
· Create a company-approved annual sales plan with production goals.
· Schedule meetings with business owners and/or decision-makers to assess needs, gather intel, present proposals, and/or close the sale.
· Develop and maintain client relationships.
· Collaborate and coordinate with sales and pricing teams to develop mutually beneficial proposals.
· Make and give presentations to prospective clients and internal executives
· Negotiate contract terms with clients and communicate with stakeholders.
· Monitor project teams to ensure contracts are executed as agreed.
· Create and implement processes and policies to support the overall business
· Learning and utilizing internal CRM system to enter pre-qualified prospect data, manage weekly activities, and more.
· Develop and manage strategic partnerships to grow business
· Develop a referral network
· Prepare and submit sales contracts
· Attend meetings, conferences, and trade shows as needed.
· Other duties as assigned.
Standard Requirements:
· Strong knowledge of Staffing Industry. Must have proven track record in getting new client acquisition and business development, preferably within the staffing or recruitment industry.
· Ability to effectively conduct individual and group presentations at all management levels.
· Professional verbal and written communication skills.
· Excellent telephone and interpersonal skills.
· Outstanding organizational and time management skills, with strong attention to detail.
· Proactive approach to problem solving with strong decision-making skills.
· Ability and willingness to travel for meetings with prospective and existing clients.
· Ability to effectively overcome sales objections and resistance.
· Must be goal oriented and able to meet deadlines in a fast paced and changing environment.
· Meets dress code/uniform standards; appearance is neat and clean.
· Completes any training requirements.
· Will adhere to all safety standards to ensure a hazard-free work environment.
Education and Experience Requirements:
· Degree in business, communications, marketing, or other related field or equivalent work experience.
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a lead generation role with proven sales experience in closing deals.
· Ability to communicate effectively face to face, and via email, telephone and video conferencing.
· Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
