DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS: The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for coordinating nursing services personnel for off shifts, those staff assigned outside of normal business hours. The incumbent will serve as a liaison between off shift nursing services personnel and administration. Some typical work activities will include direct nursing staff in the design and implementation of nursing standards; assess the number and level of nursing service personnel; participate in performance improvement activities; complete appropriate shift reports and all other duties as assigned.

PAY RATE: $240.00 per 4 hour shift

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma, AND graduation from a regionally accredited or NYS registered college or university with an Associate’s Degree in Nursing AND ten (10) years of full-time progressively responsible experience in professional nursing activities; one (1) year shall have been in a limited supervisory capacity and five (5) years of clinical experience in professional nursing which includes medical-surgical nursing in an acute care hospital
