We are seeking 1 Full Time RN Charge Nurse for our Medical Surgical Unit for the evening/night shift.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Under the general direction of the Assistant Director of Nursing, continuously is responsible for the daily management of the assigned department and for direction and supervision of functions and activities specific to department assigned. Participates in the development of department policies and standard of care.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma, AND possession of an Associate’s Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred, and one (1) year experience as a nursing leader in area assigned, current BLS and ACLS, and completion of a focused educational component for areas assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Organizes daily activities and coordinates assigned staff in the delivery of patient care.

-Collaborates with appropriate Nursing Supervisor, Assistant Director of Nursing, and/or Director of Nursing in completion of nursing personnel appraisals

-Participates in unit specific objectives and goals yearly.

-Attends Inservice education program yearly

-Ensures that the overall functioning of the nursing unit includes, but is not limited to safety, infection control, and monitors for appropriate supply levels.

-Fosters a harmonious relationship between the patient care unit and other interdisciplinary services.

-Maintains dierect involvement in patient care

-Assures the investigation process is initiated and fowared appropriately

-Moves and lifts patients safely utilizing appropriate assistance and/or devices

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $34.36 - $51.31 per hour
