summary: 

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Assistant to join our HR team. The HR Assistant will provide administrative support to the HR Manager and assist with various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee records maintenance, benefits administration, and HRIS management and Payroll. 

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited too are:

  • Coordinate new hire onboarding activities, including preparing new hire paperwork and facilitating orientation process.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in HRIS and personnel files.
  • Provide support for payroll processing tasks, including data entry and timekeeping.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues and discrepancies.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, redirecting HR management as needed.
  • Assist with compliance-related tasks, such as preparing reports and ensuring compliance with employment laws.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR department, including scheduling meetings and preparing correspondence.
  • Assist with exit interviews.
  • Assist with benefits enrollment, changes, and termination processes, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits.
  • Coordinate with benefits providers and vendors to resolve issues and discrepancies.

  • Proficient in office administration tasks.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks efficiently to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in completing administrative tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Active listening skills to understand and address employee inquiries and concerns empathetically.
  • Familiarity with employment laws and regulations, including those related to recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and data privacy.
  • Willingness to learn and stay updated on changes in HR policies, laws, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information System) software and other HR-related systems, ADP experience a plus.
  • Ability to learn new software and tools quickly and adapt to technological changes in the workplace.
  • Commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining confidentiality in handling sensitive HR information.
  • Adherence to company policies and procedures, as well as legal and regulatory requirements governing HR practices.
  • Integrity and professionalism in all interactions with employees, applicants, and external partners.
  • Ability to anticipate potential problems and take proactive measures to address them effectively.

Job Qualifications/ Requirements: 

  • 3 years of experience in Human Resources
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift Monday to Friday.
